I’m looking for an audio system for my car. When i have enough money i would like a sub woofer also. But for now i just need to play CDs and listen to radio, but would like a system where i can add a sub and bass later on. And maybe the ipod compatibility.
Budget of £150 although payday is soon and would be willing to spend more for the right system.
Cheers

So at the minute you just want a head unit right??
There are loads to choose from so I couldnt really suggest the right one for you. Most of the decent ones will have the capability to add a sub in later. Make sure it has an amp/sub output on the back. Good makes to go for include-
best-
Pioneer
Sony
Kenwood
JVC
Alpine
not so good but still good-
As for a sub, again it depends what you want. Most people have a sub thats is so powerful its rediculous. I have a sub and amp in my car, most of the time it sits quite modest in the boot and improves the sound quality but every now and then I turn the bass up and it will sure rattle your rib cage if you are sitting on the back seat and vibrate all the mirrors lol. But its only a 300watt sub. If you want to entertain the street I dont think you will need anything more than a 500 watt, anything else would be overkill

I dont get it, are you just looking for a head unit?
If so, look into either pioneer or alpine. Both make excellent head units and they will let u play CDs radio and ipod =)
