I must completely agree with the first reviewer of this product. I bought this product for my wife’s car, and I had installed this kit a week ago. I admit, it was very simple to install once I got going (although the installation instructions seem like they were written by a four-year old. Incomplete sentences, typos everywhere, etc. It was so unreadable that I was basically trying to figure out how to install it just based on the sketches). I fired up the light switch, and worked perfectly. . .
. . . until about a couple of days ago. One of the HID bulbs is already out. And after only a few days after installation! Since this is a HI/LO kit, the high beam is still working fine for both, but what good is that?? I bought this for the HID, not the regular 2000K high beam halogen!
Admittedly the kit is very cheap compared to what else is out there, so I guess I wasn’t expecting the best. You get what you pay for, right? But less than a week? Certainly I should deserve more than that for what I paid for.
I’m trying to find some kind of warranty for this product, but so far no luck. I can’t even find a website for the company JLM. Even more bad news is that I bought the same kit for my own car, but I haven’t installed it yet. I already opened the box, so I would imagine it is unreturnable. However, I guess it wouldn’t really matter anyway because the box wasn’t sealed when I got it. Anyway, we’ll see how long this one lasts.
To sum up, DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT MADE BY THIS COMPANY, JLM. There are better HID kits out there. I’ve learned my lesson. DO NOT spend less than $100 for an HID kit, unless you want this to happen to you. For me, I think I’ve spent enough money as it is, so I will be purchasing some Sylvania SilverStar Ultra’s to replace this god awful product that JLM claims is an HID kit. Again, DO NOT buy JLM. Either buy advanced halogen bulbs like Sylvania SilverStar or spare no expense when it comes to HID.

Great job on shipping the product on time. WHATS the point in shipping a product that DOESNT WORK!?!?!? Thanks for a complete waste of time! WILL NEVER shop or purchase from this seller with defective products!

The quality of HID Kits do vary widely. This affects not only longevity, but also has an effect on the amount of light produced, and the beam pattern.
Many cheaper kits produce poor beam pattern, especially in ‘reflector’ type headlights. They also tend to use cheaper components that are more prone to failure.
