Well just compare the Genesis to the Lexus GS or BMW 5-series or Acura Rl. It may not be considered as focused or as sporty as the other rivals, but it is so much better equipped and better value for money. Americans like character in their cars, but they also like value. Lexus used to be value for less, but its starting to become like Mercedes. Staying on top, and getting a bit decadent. I think it’s Hyundai’s turn to blow our heads off with value, Lexus GS seems overpriced compared to Genesis.

  2. norcal0424 Says:

They’re overpriced too. So is the Chevy Malibu, Nissan Altima and Honda Accord.

A loaded Optima has just about the same amount of features as a Camry, Fusion, Accord, Altima, and Malibu, but more features seen in higher end models of those are standard in the Optima.

It sure beats way overpriced German cars and it definitely beats Chrysler by a long shot.

I want the Equus SOO badly. My dream chauffeured car next to the Toyota Century.

  4. 1bentley4ever Says:

But more loaded than either of the two.

  5. 1bentley4ever Says:

That’s one damn nice midsize to economy-sized car. I would take that in a heartbeat, or any newer Kia or Hyundai, especially the Genesis!!!

My grandmother has a Kia Rondo.

    I love my optima

  8. norcal0424 Says:

Looks like a Ford Fusion from the front, a Toyota Camry from the back and a mix of the two on the inside.

I’ve got a 350z and a 2002 Kia Sportage for a beater, and that thing has been a fantastic vehicle! I thought I was taking a huge risk buying one, but it’s been great. Hyundai/Kia used to be garbage, but the newer ones are very nice and reliable. I would certainly buy another one.

  14. Billy4202 Says:

Yeah, Kia/Hyundai have really stepped their game up, culminating in the Genesis and the soon-to-be-released Equus.

  18. summerdude Says:

My family has a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, good car, except when we needed to replace the air compressor and assembly of the A/C units, which would have cost 1, 000 dollars if it wasn’t covered under warranty. Other than that and a small leak from the oil pan which was just caused by a dumb hyundai dealer not doing it correctly, its been a good car.

  19. thecarexpert18 Says:

    yeah

  20. carsaregood911 Says:

ah, its true though. its very well equiped, just no nav screen

  21. thecarexpert18 Says:

  22. carsaregood911 Says:

    yeah you’re really a car expert. . . :P

  23. filiphilopeno Says:

pretty nice car. I’ve always questioned the reliability of cars not Japanese (yes, I’m biased. but I know enough truth to be able to speak to others without that bias) but I’ve been seeing a big turnaround in Hyundai/Kia products and quality. I wouldn’t mind driving one of these Optimas.

  24. thecarexpert18 Says:

    i thought-what? thats a mercedes!

  25. blazerlover25 Says:
