Of what you where talking about in the end it about RADIAL PISTONS ENGINES the greatest lack from these was the overheat of them and only reason they are on plane cuz iat high speed in the air they get the right amout of air to get cooled down but not on ground applicationswell i know that could be a insane idea but not last long on ground heh

it’s chemistry. not physics.

You can see the hp dyno figures on the chart on the pc at 1:08 in the video!

check out the video of a quad-rotor FD Rx7 by Scoot Sports. The engine sounds like a V8 while idling.
November 9th, 2009 at 6:17 am
in theory rotary are great buy they suffer from so many weaknesses, my biggest problem however is the sound nothing beats the sound of a v8, just love them. but rotary are good if we can fix them, i don’t see why we don’t use quad rotary more, they are good. but personally i want to see the old school rotary make a return, you know the kind you see on wwii planes that have 5 pistons in a star formation they can be really efficient and you can stack them most ive seen is 20 piston crazy stuff

that sounds like 500 hp
November 12th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
well belive it haha go watch some 7s passes! dont think they last very long tho but there deff makin some smoke thats forsure!!!!!
November 15th, 2009 at 3:38 am
ya im with you on the fact most of them blow out seals alot and run like ****. not saying for 100% this is makin that hp but nor would i dought it. because this is a quad rotar these are not designed for cars realy there motors for small aircraft. but alot of there issues are worked out now. same with a dsm your hearing alot of what happend 10 years ago still. but look fastest 4banger is a dsm pushin 1600hp. again not sayin it does have that hp but it could

Agreed, I can’t stand these people who think their Rotary engines are better than everything else/, my mate who imports Mazda parts says the rotary is one of the most unreliable auto parts available.
November 18th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
im not doubting that the motor is powerFULL, i just doubt its really 1600hp. rotorys are notorius for seal failures and could never even hold 500hp without blowing out like a lightbulb. show me the actual reading for me to believe it. i never see a rotory beat even a supra or stang, hard to buy into the whole 1600hp crap video with the poorly designed motor.

its a joke….

You’re telling people to take a class and you can’t even tell them what class it would be. Doh!
November 23rd, 2009 at 4:28 pm
when metal goes from hot to cold often, it gets brittle, that’s what I meant. Take a (chemistry?) class.
November 25th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
That’s what you want to see when u spend thousands of dollars to make a small engine generate so much power…
Like a trophy if you know what I mean.
As long as you know what you’re doing, you wont blow it up. At least initially.
