I believe he drove it on both dry and wet. When he spun out, it was wet but, when he was drifting the car a little bit, it was dry.

If you watch it again you’ll notice that Jeremy drove it on a dry track, all the wet parts were filmed just to show off the car while he narrates, probably a crew member driving it.

Did I not see wetness before Jezza retracted his feelings?

worst looking car in its segment…pontiac aztek of sport sedans. i used to own a generation 2 rx-7…it would be awesome to get one of these power plants into one of those bodies. it may go like stink but if it looks like poo i still wont drive one.

true, they are different. They both pump air but, just in different ways. Rpms are relative. The 8 spins the eccentric shaft at 9k+ rpms but, the rotors are going 1/3 that speed so it depends. This is why people, who ignorantly say this car has no tq, need to understand that at 3k rpms, the rotary has 90% tq to the wheels. To put into perspective, the rotors are going only 1k rpms. The rotary has more power than people think. Key is leverage.

but your comparing it with a cylinder were as it has a rotary engine. Because it spins instead of pumping, it can handle more rpms than your average v4 or v6

that would be why it is shitty. Power available at a given rpm, weight, gearing, and Cd are the major factors in mpg. Where the power is, is yet another factor. Most of the power of the rotary is in the higher rpms

this is definetely a fun car to play with, my dad just bought one last year.

The new Mazda RX 8 R3 is an awesome car for the money. Yeah, its not the best fuel economy, but if your that bothered about it, your better off buying one of the dime a dozen chav\boy racer hot hatches, or maybe even a diesel.

It really depends on how you drive it. I can get 20 or so with hwy driving. Most of the time I’m getting around 14. I really drive the opposite of efficient, though.

Highway miles? Ugh. I’ve always loved rotaries, but my shitty v6 is more economic than this
