I have a 1993 Nissan Maxima that sometimes wont start unless shifted into neutral and slammed into park. I had a friend check it and they said I need to replace the neutral safety switch. I now have the part but dont know where to find it on the car. Please help. I read the chiltons manual and it has a picture but cant tell if it is inside the shifter or on top or motor or underneath.

Usually where the shifter is, you would need to remove the rubber boot around it. That is if the shifter is located between the two front seats next to your right leg.
