I just bought a 2001 Toyota Highlander Limited. I was told by the salesman that it is a 2WD. But all the reading iv been doing on the limited says that is all time 4WD. does anybody know what I bought? And if you have or have had this car. Tell me what you think about it.
Thank you
Thank you very much for trying to make me feel like an @$$, If I thought I could do that and know the difference I probably would have done that.

Yes, the TOYOTA HIGHLANDER LIMITED does come in 2WD bec our next door neighor has 2005 HIGHLANDER LIMITED 2WD and when we were visiting ATLANTA GA for wedding in early MARCH 2008, I also saw several TOYOTA HIGHLANDER LIMITED 2 wheel drive which makes sense bec not enough snow and inclement weather to justify All Wheel Drive (AWD) which gets less mpg. FYI my wife drives 2005 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER 6 cylinder AWD

Piece of junk you bought. If you can not separate the two rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive need help. Reasonable amount of tires. If you have two so it is a two-wheel drive. If you have four-wheel drive as it is. DUH !!!!!!

We almost got one this weekend. We have an Envoy and QX4 and need a third. We were also considering a Rav but we’re not sure about Toyota any more.
