Would a 2007 Toyota FJ-Cruiser be less harmful on the enviornment than a 2000 Subaru Outback?
Add commentsMy friend is a loser, and says that the emissions on his FJ are less harmful on the environment that an 8 year old Subaru. I think he’s nuts. Obviously there is no comparison on gas milage.

Your friend is a loser, and he is also nuts. FJ Cruiser-Light truck, which means it does not need to meet the same emission standards that are more stringent passenger cars. It is like comparing apples and raisins are. Although the 8-year old Subaru engine is not in top condition, and it will bring more of HC and NOx than when new, it has 2 5 or 3 0 engine, which puts out far less CO2 than the 4 0 V6 has Toyota.
