Photo by The Toad I am interested in the Toyota FJ Cruiser TRD.
I have read the reviews by the pundits but do not give them too much thought. I want the opinion of an owner/operator.
Please give me your personal review of what you like or dislike. Also, do you recommend buy it.

I love to show them, so my husband and I test drove one and I did not like it. I could not even see over a line and I'm 5'4 "and I do not consider interior design (looked out of date), and it does not have much power.

I would absolutely not recommend the FJ Cruiser. You may as well buy a Hummer H2 and have “idiot” tattooed to your forehead. Those cars are about as useless as a fart in a space suit.
A) You can’t see anything out of them.
B) They’re ugly as all hell (I guess that’s just a matter of opinion, but you asked for it).
C)They get AWFUL gas mileage.

OK i won t buy one because fj is unsafe , way too many blind spots , needs high test gas and drinks deep from the oil wells. looks cool but may be Toyota s biggest mistake

In general, many feel that the car industry as one of the worst vehicles currently sold. Poor ergonomics, fuel consumption, a strange-looking (subjective). They do not like them for resale, and other Toyota products (I live in cars to be assessed).

I had one a few weeks when I was co-tenants. I liked it a lot, I was going to buy, but I had to open bed truck and FJ isn't an open bed truck. It felt like you were driving a truck, 4×4 works great on and off the road (4×4 Hire Co tired it was fun). My only complaint was that it was a lot of blind spots and was difficult to drive through the congestion of Denver, but otherwise it was great. It is Toyota so it will take a long time and is reliable. In order to rent I loved it, but gas is so high now, I think it would be more fun to have a toy car, not the everyday work of a vehicle. (very young teens-mid 30s, it is a fun vehicle), my son came with the CO 2 weeks and we both have had no trouble seeing more than a dash, but both 6foot + long. Idont know how old you are, and long-areso, I can not say if it is to buy a car, it reminds me of the old blazers and Jeeps, and 2000, only to later tec. At the same time you can get the car so it should not have all the large TEC gadgats as the new coach does. If you want to keep Toyota, See the Highlands, or 4runners but if yo want 2-door SUV / truck See jeep. Compass and Wrangler is a good vehicle Hopefully I was able to help

looked at it and decided to get a RAV. . . I guess the alternative to FJ would be a H2. . . unless you need severe off road RAV works. . . .

Consumers Reports did not like it, but my neighbor got one and loves it. I guess it depends on what you can use it. We are a local club FJ, check it for its own area and see what these people think.
