I recently purchased a 2006 Toyota Tundra with 50,000 miles. I ordered the Haynes manual, so I’ll be able to learn more about my truck, and make home repairs and maintenance as required. Right off the bat I found a mistake in the capacity of the engine oil! The Haynes manual states that the V-6 engine (I) takes 5. 5 golf oil when changing both the oil and filter. The owner’s manual that came with a Toyota truck that lists a capacity of just four. 8 pitches when changing oil and filter. I tend to think Toyota in this case. I understand that the error is “only”. 7 a quart. But this could lead to an overcrowding situation in the crankcase, and the owners have informed DO NOT overfill. This information is in Chapter 1, p. 1-2 to Haynes. If you are wrong about this, I do not trust the other information in the manual. You can decide for yourself. Rating: 1 / 5
