Like the 2008 model year approaches, car manufacturers are hard at work developing new vehicles or redesign existing ones. This dynamic nature of the industry has given consumers a wide choice of vehicles. Continuous improvement of vehicles for consumers significantly, as car manufacturers continue to surpass each other and themselves, the quality of cars available to consumers increases.
One such car brand giving the effort to improve the existing model is the Swedish company Volvo auto. For the 2008 model year, Ford owned automaker will offer a redesigned Volvo S40 and its wagon version of the V50.
The company is known for popularizing "Scandinavian luxury" is still there. This time, the entry-level compact S40 sedan and V50 wagon were redesigned units move closer to mid-size luxury car in the lineup of Volvo – the S80. As the S40 moves closer to the Volvo S80, the wagon version is also moving closer to the wagon version of the S80. Just as the S40, the V50 is also redesigned grille, Volvo to give the wagon a bolder look. Volvo headlight is also increasingly similar to the wagon version of the S80 – the V70. The three-part air intake unit used by the current V50 is replaced by one single full width unit. Reflecting the more daring slogans style used for the S40, the Volvo V50 also shows a higher mark Volvo's redesigned nose. That shows how consistent that Volvo is planning a sedan and wagon version. While Volvo has already departed from the design and production of boxy cars, the S40 and the V50 is built with safety in mind. This makes the redesigned S40 and V50 still safer than boxy predecessors.
As Volvo's design to become more daring, the company managed to combine good looks and safety in a single vehicle.
In addition to redesigning the front end of the V50, design engineers at Volvo and ensured that behind the V50 and S40 will complement the redesigned front end of the car. The tail lights on the redesigned V50 to weaken. The V50 and the S40 uses LED brake lights. The rear bumper has been restyled for the next model that complements the bold style slogans used on the front end of the sedan and wagon. The twin exhausts also add aesthetic value of the Volvo S40 and the V50.
On the inside is concerned, the Scandinavian luxury theme is evident, the new interior trims used in the redesign. Not only is the interior to look god, but also very functional. The designers of the new S40 and V50 have two vehicles, increased interior space. This is especially evident in V50. As the vehicle is known for its flexibility, Volvo will show that it works best place to put cargo inside the V50.
Not only Volvo has improved the exterior and interior of the S40 and V50, but the company was also working towards improving the powertrain vehicles. Manual and automatic gearboxes will be offered with both petrol and diesel versions of S40 and the V50.
