I’m planning on starting an automotive forum for our website AESwave.com. Can you give me any ideas or suggestions on templates or places that sell forum packages. Thanks.

It depends on your web host… they probably provide installable forums for you. If you have your own dedicated server, then it depends on your server’s OS (Linux), the web server software used (Apache) and the languages it supports (PHP), and whether you have a database available (MySQL).

There is no need to buy unless you’re looking at recouping that money through the forums or you really want to draw attention away from the main portion of the website.

If you have a decent hosting package you should be able to install a forum from the host control panel. If not you can download the software. You can also purchase templates to change the look and feel. See the links below.
