Since its inception in 1990, the Mitsubishi Eclipse is a fun car. Many young people are attracted to the design of this fun little sports coupe. Although the car has done quite well for Mitsubishi dealerships in the United States, the car is quite popular as a used car as well. The car was named after a racehorse from the eighteenth century, who won an astonishing 26 races in one year. Like the namesake, the sports car has obscured many other cars in its class. Because of an alliance between Mitsubishi and Chrysler, the Eclipse was not the only sports coupe to the draft circulated at this time. Although most do not understand, the Mitsubishi Eclipse is not just a child. A closer look at two other cars will reveal that the car has a twin sister or more likely the case. The twins are now known as the Eagle Talon and Plymouth Laser. Slight design changes and a more aggressive advertising campaign that led to the Mitsubishi Eclipse on top of the pact.
