APPEARANCE:

Except in SE trim, a Camry has no pretense to sport, so the suspension is tuned for a smooth ride. PERFORMANCE: There are two slightly-different versions of the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine used in the Camry. Driver and passenger curtain airbags (along with front side airbags) are optional on all Camry sedans and Solara Coupes.
Anti-lock brakes are standard on all Camry models and body styles, but stability and traction control are available only on LE, SE, and XLE sedans, and SLE coupe and convertible models.
Essentially, from this 2005 Camry review we can conclude the Camry offers three different engines. Camry Solara coupes have a slightly lower power rating for their four-cylinder engines: 157 horsepower and 162 lb-ft.
Even the SE Sport Camry Solara coupe is more boulevardier than back-road hero.

The new 3rd generation Prius is now available and while offering many improvements compared to the second generation Prius, the third generation Prius is still much less expensive than expected.
The most popular and best-selling hybrid car in the world today is again the Toyota Prius. When the Prius was released in 1997, pioneered the trend for hybrid cars. Initially Prius did not sell very well at all, but begins to increase sales of more models have been introduced. In 2003, Toyota came out with a second-generation hybrid car, which car in the Motor Trend.
Rapidly to a sharp gas prices are another reason why people look for alternatives, so the environmental and health concerns are not the only reasons for buying hybrids. Although many hybrid cars on the individual can choose, Prius is the number one choice because of its simplicity and price.
While the second generation Prius used 1.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine, the new Prius uses a 1.8L DOHC 16-Valve VVT-i 1.8L Atkinson cycle engine that provides quicker performance and greater fuel economy, especially on the highway.
Toyota Prius’ second generation has improved, while the first number of important ways. First-generation Toyota Prius is a fuel, but it was the only addition to the possibility of air conditioning. Compared with the original and improved version was roomier, faster and flashier. It is the first medium-sized hatchback market, which has won several awards.

2. Hold the throttle plate open, and use an air intake cleaner aerosol and an old toothbrush to clean out the throttle body.
3. Gummy deposits build up there and stick the throttle plate.
4.Will probably idle smoother afterwards, too.

November 2009 Toyota made a Recall. The recall is intended to fix a very dangerous defect which can lead to Unintended Acceleration of the vehicle. Initially thought to be an issue with floor mats, the real problem involves the cars electronic throttle system. The recall was prompted by a high speed crash in August in California of a Lexus barreling out of control. As the vehicle hit speeds exceeding 120 mph, family members made a frantic 911 call and said the accelerator was stuck and they couldn’t stop the vehicle.

The charging system then generates electricity for the vehicle’s electrical systems. At low speeds with some electrical loads “on” (e.g.,lights and window defogger), some battery current may still be needed.
But, at high speeds, the charging system supplies all the current needed by the vehicle. Once those needs are taken care of, the charging system then sends current into the battery to restore its charge.
IGNITION SWITCH
When the ignition switch is in the ON position, battery current energizes the alternator.
ALTERNATOR
Mechanical energy is transferred from the engine to the alternator by a grooved drive belt on a pulley arrangement. Through electromagnetic induction, the alternator changes this mechanical energy into electrical energy. The alternating current generated is converted into direct current by the rectifier, a set of diodes which allow current to pass in only one direction.
